Lost-in-Space
Really excited to announce that the Lumen Lab has received funding from the Royal Society to start a project on "Lost-in-Space: Beam steering and adaptive optics for satellite laser communications in remote environments"!
Proposal to start IOP Space Group
On Monday, 18th September, the Institute of Physics (IOP) held a Town Hall Meeting at the Rutherford-Appleton Laboratory in Harwell Campus to discuss the proposal to create a special interest group for Space within the IOP.
The Lumen Lab’s Viviene Dela-Cruz attended as part of the core team advocating for an IOP Space Special Interest Group, for those interested in space or working within the space domain.
Viviene joins the Lumen Lab!
Viviene joins us straight from City University with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and will be working on a laser communications project, developing the next generation of adaptive optics for space-ground laser communications.
