Proposal to start IOP Space Group

On Monday, 18th September, the Institute of Physics (IOP) held a Town Hall Meeting at the Rutherford-Appleton Laboratory in Harwell Campus to discuss the proposal to create a special interest group for Space within the IOP.

The Lumen Lab’s Viviene Dela-Cruz attended as part of the core team advocating for an IOP Space Special Interest Group, for those interested in space or working within the space domain. The event was well attended with guests attending from all over the UK.

In December, the IOP will meet and decide on whether to approve the proposal to have a Space Special Interest Group within the IOP.
