PhD in Railway Electrification

Hi, I’m a PhD Student at the University of Nottingham collaborating with Network Rail. My project involves developing machine learning strategies to derive value from terabytes of rail infrastructure data. I’m highly interested in utilising artificial intelligence to empower us to make strategic decisions and enhance our quality of life.

I previously studied at Nottingham Trent University, where I earned a 1st in BSc Computer Science and a Distinction in MSc Data Science. My Dissertation project involved exploring the capability of Generative Adversarial Networks to automatically segment Optical Coherence Tomography scans of historical paintings. After this, I worked as a research assistant – using object recognition on underwater wildlife as a way of tracking invasive species.

I’m also a huge foodie and love playing video games!
